Any free standing cash funds will automatically sweep into the money market fund to earn interest. All Firstrade Smart Account are automatically approved for a Margin Account. Therefore, customers will be able to borrow against their marginable securities and increase their buying powers at competitive margin lending rates. There is extensive cost-basis information available for your convenience. Securities purchases and sales, realized/unrealized gains and losses, and other investment activities are tracked automatically. A year-end summary statement is also provided, which includes 1099 income and investment activities during the calendar year. Additionally, you can still enjoy the low commission rates we offer at Firstrade. All Firstrade Smart Account customers will also receive a complimentary pre-tabbed statement binder.
