With a Valet Asset Management Account, you can consolidate your banking and brokerage services all in to one account. In this fast-paced world, the Valet account will offer convenience and efficiency in managing your finances. A Visa® Gold Debit Card, check-writing privileges, and a competitive yield money market fund are offered at a reasonable annual fee of $80.00.
Valet account holders can enjoy enhanced brokerage services. Any free standing cash funds will automatically sweep into the money market fund to earn interest. All Valet accounts are automatically approved for a Margin Account. Therefore, customers will be able to borrow against their marginable securities and increase their buying powers at competitive margin lending rates. There is extensive cost-basis information available for your convenience. Securities purchases and sales, realized/unrealized gains and losses, and other investment activities are tracked automatically. A year-end summary statement is also provided, which includes 1099 income and investment activities during the calendar year. Additionally, you can still enjoy the low commission rates we offer at Firstrade. All Valet customers will also receive a complimentary pre-tabbed statement binder. These features are especially helpful during Tax Season.
Other brokerage features include free dividend reinvestment, free mutual fund periodic investment program, and unlimited account protection through SIPC and CAPCO.
Banking features with check-writing privileges are provided to all Valet customers. The first box of wallet style checks (150 checks) is provided at no additional cost to you. You can enjoy unlimited check writing with no minimum dollar amount requirement. Expense code monitoring is also available with twenty-two (22) pre-defined categories. Your monthly consolidated statement will include details such as the payee, amount, and expense code category. Check writing details for the calendar year are also provided on the year-end statement for your convenience. Direct Deposit is also available for payroll and Social Security benefit payments.
An optional On-line Bill Payment feature is offered to all Valet account holders. You can manage your bills, save money on stamps and envelopes, and avoid a trip to the local post office. Simply register at MyBillCenter and for a low monthly fee, bills can be paid within minutes. MyBillCenter can be linked to any banking or brokerage account that allows check writing. A Visa® Gold Debit Card is mailed to all Valet customers, along with a secure PIN code. This debit card is accepted worldwide at over 16 million locations, and would be particularly useful for the frequent traveler. Domestic account holders can also earn travel rewards points for every purchase made towards discounts on airline tickets, hotel accommodations and car rentals. The Valet Visa® card can also be used to withdraw cash at over 627,000 ATMs around the world. Optional cash advances are also available with this debit card. Debit card transaction details are reported on the monthly statement, in addition to the year-end statement.
Accounts with equities of $100,000.00 or greater can have the annual fee Waived.
