How to Deal with Security Threats to Your Account

Watch for common signs of phishing and fraud, and take prompt action to protect your accounts.

Spotting the fraudulent communication

  • You did not request an email that appears to come from a legitimate source.
  • The email includes official-looking logos to appear authentic, but contains obvious typos and poor grammar.
  • The email pressures users to respond with personal information, often by warning of an urgent account issue that requires immediate action.
  • Phishing emails may contain links that lead to fake pages mimicking official websites. Always check the URL before entering any sensitive information, and make sure you’re on the firstrade.com domain. Hover over the link to preview where it really leads.

To help ensure you receive important messages, add the following domains to your email service’s Safe Sender List. This tells your provider to deliver emails from Firstrade directly to your inbox instead of the spam folder:

  • firstrade.com - customer correspondence delivery
  • proxyvote.com - electronic document delivery
  • icsdelivery.com - electronic document delivery
  • investordelivery.com - electronic document delivery
  • postedge.documentmailbox.com - electronic document delivery
  • isecurus.com - electronic document delivery
  • notifications@digital-delivery.com - electronic document delivery
  • firstrade@tax-docs.com - electronic document delivery

If something seems suspicious, take the following steps:

  • Change your username and password.
  • Check your account for any unauthorized transactions.
  • Install spam filters and anti-virus software to help detect and block fraudulent emails.
  • Never respond to any unsolicited communication asking for your account number, login credentials, bank information, or Social Security number.
  • If you receive an email from Firstrade that seems suspicious, verify its authenticity by contacting us at service@firstrade.com or calling 1-800-869-8800. Our team is available 24/7 to assist you.
